Outline the Snout
Start by drawing the seahorse’s long, elongated snout.
Add the Mouth
Draw a line connected to the base of the seahorse’s head to form its mouth.
Draw the Eye
Add a small oval for the eye.
Add the Pectoral Fin
Attach the pectoral fin to the side of its head.
Attach the Coronet
Add the crown-like coronet on top of the seahorse’s head.
Outline the Body
Outline the elongated shape of the seahorse’s body. Then, form its curling tail.
Add the Dorsal Fin
Attach its dorsal fin on the back of its body.
Outline the Bony Plates
Draw a bumpy line following the shape of its body to outline the bony plates.
Add Texture to the Plates
Add evenly spaced lines along the plates to create some texture.
Draw the Keel
Draw a wavy line to outline the keel. Then, add curving lines along the keel.
Outline the Corals
Outline the branch-like corals around the seahorse.
Shade the Seahorse’s Body
Fill in the seahorse’s body with orange. Next, color the eye with black and add a white shimmer.
Color the Fins, Coronet and Plates
Use a light cream color to fill in the fins. Then, shade the coronet, bony plates and the keel with yellow.
FIll in the Corals
Fill in the corals with blue and purple.
Add Shading to the Water
Add some color to the water using varying shades of blue.
