Today, we're drawing a manatee. This gentle sea creature is perfect for beginners. We'll break it down into 12 easy steps. Let's agree to begin with simple shapes, then add details and color towards the end. Don't worry if it's not perfect; practice makes progress. Grab your pencils and let's get to it! Outline the Head
Begin by creating a curved line to form the manatee’s head.
Attach the Snout
Attach the manatee’s wide snout to its head. Next, add two dots for its nostrils. Then, erase any overlapping lines.
Add the Eye
Draw a small circle for the eye.
Form the Mouth
Form the shape of its mouth below its snout.
Outline the Body
Outline the manatee’s elongated body connected to its head.
Attach the Tail Flukes
Attach the long, wide tail flukes to the end of its body.
Draw the Front Flippers
On each side of the manatee’s body, draw two elongated front flippers.
Add Bubbles
Add small circular bubbles around the manatee.
Color the Manatee’s Body
Fill in the eye with black, and add a white circular shine to it. Next, color the snout with light gray. Then, use a darker shade of gray to color the rest of the manatee’s body.
Add the Spots on the Manatee’s Skin
Add light and dark gray spots all over the manatee’s body.
Shade the Water
Color the water with a vibrant shade of blue.
Fill in the Bubbles
Fill in the bubbles with a lighter blue color.
