Form the Head
Begin by creating a curved line to form the shape of the narwhal's head.
Add the Mouth
Add a short, wavy line to draw the mouth.
Outline the Eye
Draw a small circle for its eye.
Attach the Tusk
Form a long, pointy tusk attached to the front of the narwhal’s head. Then, create curved lines along the tusk to add its spiral texture. Make sure to erase any overlapping lines.
Form the Body
Form the elongated outline of the narwhal’s body.
Attach the Flippers
Draw two flippers on each side of the narwhal’s body.
Add the Tail Flukes
At the back of its body, draw its two pointed tail flukes.
Form the Sea Ice
Form the sea ice platform where the narwhal is standing as shown.
Outline the Horizon
Create a straight line using a ruler to outline the horizon.
Add the Wavy Lines
Add short, wavy lines to form the water waves.
Form the Clouds
Form the fluffy outline of the clouds in the sky.
Shade the Narwhal’s Body
Color the narwhal’s underbelly and the inner side of its flippers with light gray. Next, fill in the eye with black and add a white shimmer to it. Now, use orange for the tusk. Then, shade the rest of the narwhal’s body with a darker gray color.
Add the Spotted Pattern
Add the gray spots all over the narwhal’s body.
FIll in the Sea Ice
Fill in the sea ice with light blue. Use a slightly darker shade of blue to add some shadow beneath the narwhal.
Add Shading to the Background
Use white to color the clouds and light blue for the sky. Then, fill in the water with a vibrant blue color.
