Outline the Hexagonal Center
Start by drawing the hexagonal center of the snowflake.
Draw the Cavity
Draw the cavity in the center by creating a slightly smaller hexagon.
Attach the Branches
Attach the horizontal branches of the snowflake. Use a ruler to help you straighten your lines.
Add the Diagonal Branches
Start adding the diagonal branches of the snowflake.
Form the Remaining Branches
Form the remaining branches by drawing straight diagonal lines in the opposite direction as shown.
Outline the Tips
Outline the pointed tips of the snowflake.
Add the Cavity on the Tips
Add a triangular cavity on the tips of the snowflake.
Attach the Side Branches
Attach the short rectangular side branches near the tips of the snowflake.
Fill in the Center
Fill in the hexagonal center with a very light blue color.
Color the Branches
Color the branches with light shades of blue.
Add Shading to the Snowflake
Use deeper and darker shades of blue to add some shading to the edges of the snowflake.
Create Shimmer
Add white streaks on the snowflake to create a shimmer-like effect.
