Outline the Ball
First, draw a large circle to outline the ball part of the Christmas ornament. You can use a circular guide to help you.
Attach the Cap
Attach the short, cylindrical cap of the Christmas ornament.
Add the Hanger
Draw the curved shape of the hanger on the ornament’s cap.
Outline the String
Draw the thin outline of a string looped on the hanger. Make sure to erase overlapping lines.
Decorate the Christmas Ornament
Draw curved and wavy lines to decorate the Christmas ball ornament.
Add Snowflakes
Draw snowflakes on the ball by creating X-shaped lines.
Form Shorter Spikes
Form the shorter spikes of the snowflakes by drawing smaller X-shaped lines as shown.
Add the Ridges
Add short lines near the ends of the snowflakes’ spikes to form its ridges.
Color the Ball
Fill in the ball of the Christmas ornament with festive colors like red, green, and blue.
Shade the Cap and Hanger
Use a yellow color to shade the cap and hanger of the ornament.
Add Shading to the Ornament
Use a light shade of gray to add some shading to the ball of the Christmas ornament. Then, add some shadows to the cap using an orange color.
Fill in the String
Fill in the string with light gray.
