Hey y'all! Today, we're learnin' how to draw a lion face. We'll break it down into 15 steps, startin' with basic shapes and lines. As we go along, we'll add details to bring out that fierce look. Outline the Face
Start by making an outline of the lion’s furry face as shown.
Add the Snout
Form a triangular-like nose. Then, add short diagonal lines above the nose to emphasize the snout.
Draw the Muzzle
Draw two fuzzy circles below the nose to form the muzzle.
Add the Mouth
Form the bottom part of its mouth by drawing a fuzzy curved line.
Outline the Eyes
Outline the lion’s eyes by creating two pointed ovals.
Add the Iris
Draw circles inside each eye to add the iris and the pupils in the center of the iris.
Add the Forehead Lines
Draw short curved lines to emphasize the folds on the lion’s forehead.
Attach the Ears
Draw curved ears on each side of the lion’s head.
Outline the Mane
Outline the lion’s thick and wavy mane around its head.
Add Texture to the Mane
Emphasize the thickness of the lion’s mane by adding more wavy pointed shapes.
Attach the Whiskers
On the lion’s forehead and muzzle, attach long whiskers extending outwards.
Color the Eyes
First, shade the iris with orange and add small white shimmer to them. Next, fill in the pupils and sclera with black.
Shade the Snout
Shade the nose with dark brown. Next, fill in the muzzle and mouth with a cream color.
Add Shading to the Face and Ears
Use yellow and light shades of orange to color the lion’s face and ears. Then, fill in the inner ears with light brown.
Fill in the Mane
Fill in the lion’s mane with brown.
