Lesson: Cute Shark Drawing
We about to begin our drawing of a cute shark. Sharks don't have to be scary. Get ready to create this adorable sea creature in just 15 steps. For extra cuteness we'll base our drawing off of a hammerhead. Follow along closely, and you'll have a cute shark drawing that'll make you smile. Let's get those pencils moving!
Form the Head
Begin by forming the shape of the hammerhead shark’s head by drawing a curving line.
Outline the Body
Draw two long, curved lines to outline the elongated body of the shark.
Add the Eyes
Add the cute shark’s two rounded eyes.
Draw the Mouth
Form the outline of the shark’s open mouth. We are drawing this mouth almost with a wee bit of a smile.
Form the Teeth
Draw a zigzag line to add the shark’s teeth.
Add the Tongue
Add the curved outline of its tongue.
Draw the Tail Fin
Now, draw the pointed shape of its tail fin at the end of its body.
Attach the Pectoral Fins
Attach its elongated pectoral fins on the sides of its body. Make sure to erase any overlapping lines.
Add the Dorsal Fin
Add a large V-shaped dorsal fin on the shark’s back.
Draw a Smaller Dorsal Fin
Draw a smaller dorsal fin next to the first dorsal fin.
Outline the Gills
Outline the gills by drawing four curved lines.
Fill in the Eyes
Fill in the eyes with black, and add white shimmer.
Color the Mouth
Now, color the teeth with white and the tongue red. Then, fill in the back part of its mouth with a darker shade of red.
Shade the Shark’s Body
Use a light pink to color the face, underbelly, and the underside of the shark’s fins. Then, color the rest of its body with a more vibrant shade of purple.
Add Blush
Let’s make our shark look even cuter by adding red rounded blush on its cheeks.
