Lesson: Octopus Drawing (easy)
Hey there! Today, we're gonna create a simplified octopus drawing. We'll break it down into 15 simple steps. Start with the basic shapes and lines, and we'll slowly add details. By the end, you'll have a deep sea creature to show off. So, grab your pencils and let's get those tentacles flowing! Trust me, it's gonna be fun and easy. Let's get started!
Outline the Head
Begin by drawing a large, curved line for the octopus's head.
Add the Eyes
Draw two large, oval eyes near the base of the head.
Draw the Texture of the Head
Outline some circular spots on the top part of the octopus’s head to add some texture.
Form the First Tentacle
Draw a long, curved line extending downwards and then curling upwards to form the first tentacle.
Draw More Tentacles
Add three more long, curling tentacles similar to the previous step.
Attach the Rest of the Tentacles
Draw four more tentacles at the back.
Add the Suckers
Add small oval suckers along the edge of each tentacle.
Outline the Underside of the Tentacles
Create wavy lines following the shape of each tentacle to outline its underside.
Draw Corals
Draw tube-like corals in the background.
Outline the Bubbles
Outline the bubbles around the octopus by drawing small circles.
Form the Ocean Floor
Draw the ocean floor by creating bumpy horizontal lines. Then, emphasize the rough texture by adding small dots.
Shade the Octopus
Color the eyes with black and white. Next, fill in the spotted pattern on its head and the suckers on its tentacles with light orange. Now, use a dark purple color for the underside of the tentacles. Then, color the rest of the octopus with a lighter shade of purple.
Color the Water
Shade the water with vibrant blue. Then, fill in the bubbles with a lighter blue color.
Add Color to the Ocean Floor
Use a light brown color to shade the ocean floor.
Fill in the Corals
Fill in the corals in the background with red, purple, orange, and brown.
