Outline the Head
Start by forming the furry outline of the german shepherd’s head.
Add the Eyes
Add two small circular eyes.
Draw the Nose
Draw the triangular outline of its nose.
Form the Mouth
Form two curved lines connected to the base of its nose to draw the mouth. Then add a curved line for its chin.
Attach the Ears
Attach the tall, pointy ears on top of its head.
Outline the Torso
Outline the german shepherd’s torso filled with thick fur.
Form the Body
Form the dog’s furry, elongated body.
Add the Front Legs
Add the german shepherd’s upright front legs attached to the base of its body. Be sure to erase any overlapping lines.
Attach the Hind Legs
Attach the dog’s hind legs to its body similar to the previous step.
Draw the Paws
Draw the german shepherd’s paws at the end of its legs.
Outline the Tail
Outline the thick, fluffy tail connected to the end of its body.
Shade the Eyes and Nose
Shade the eyes and nose with black. Then, add small white reflections on its eyes.
Color the Ears
Color the inner ears with pink, and the outer ears with dark brown.
Fill in the Coat
Fill in the dog’s torso with light orange. Next, color the rest of its body with light brown. Then, add hints of light orange on its face, tail, legs and the underside of its body.
Add Shading to the Head, Body and Tail
Use dark brown to color the top part of its forehead, the area around its eyes and muzzle, the tip of its tail, as well as the back of its body.
