Lesson: How to Draw a Goat

Draw the Head
Start by forming the outline of the goat’s head as shown.
Add the Eyes
Add two thin, pointed ovals for its eyes.
Draw the Nose
Draw the goat’s triangular nose.
Form the Mouth
Form the goat’s mouth by draiwng curved lines connected to the base of its nose.
Draw the Horns
Draw two curved horns on top of the goat’s head.
Attach the Ears
Attach its long, pointed ears on the sides of its head.
Form the Dewlap
Form the goat’s dewlap below its head.
Outline the Body
Form the hairy outline of the goat’s body.
Attach the Tail
Attach the goat’s short, furry tail.
Add the Legs
Add the goat’s four upright, hairy legs attached to the base of its body. Don’t forget to erase overlapping lines.
Outline the Hooves
Outline the hooves at the end of its legs.
Color the Eyes
Use black to shade the goat’s eyes. Then, add tiny white shine to it.
Shade the Ears, Nose and Hooves
Shade the ears and nose with pink. Then, color the hooves with dark brown.
Fill in the Horns
Fill in the horns with yellow.
Color the Body
Use white to color the goat’s head, body and legs. Then, create shadows by adding hints of light gray.
