How to Draw a Camel

Outline the Forehead
First, outline the camel’s forehead by drawing a wavy line as shown.
Draw the Mouth
Draw the curving shape of the camel’s mouth.
Form the Eye
Form the camel’s oval-shaped eye.
Outline the Nostril
Form the thin outline of its nostril above its mouth.
Draw the Neck
Draw two curving lines connected to its head to form its neck.
Attach the Ear
Attach the curved shape of its ear.
Form the Body
Draw a wavy line to form the humps on the camel’s back. Then, extend the curved line at the base of the camel’s body to outline its underbelly.
Attach the Legs
Attach the camel’s tall legs to the base of its body. Then, form the shape of its hooves at the bottom of its legs. Don’t forget to erase any overlapping lines.
Add the Tail
Form the outline of its long tail attached to the end of its body.
Draw Sand Dunes
Draw the mountain-like outline of the sand dunes in the background.
Add Texture to the Sand
Draw short bumpy lines around the camel to add the rough texture of the sand.
Fill in the Eye
Fill in the eye with black and add a tiny white shimmer to it.
Color the Camel’s Body
Color the camel’s body with shades of brown.
Shade the Hooves
Shade the camel’s hooves with dark brown.
Add Color to the Sandy Background
First, color the sand dunes with dark yellow. Now, use a lighter shade of yellow for the sandy ground. Then, fill in the sky with light blue.
