Easy Snake Drawing
Alright y'all, get ready for some fun 'cause today we’re gonna draw a snake. No fancy-schmancy stuff here, just basic shapes, lines, and a whole bunch of creativity. Whether you're new to drawing or got some experience, this snake will slither its way onto your drawing paper.
We'll start from scratch with some simple shapes and add details bit by bit, like a puzzle coming together. By the end, your snake will look pretty sweet with its glossy eye and scaly texture making it look pretty fantastic if I do say so myself. You'll be rockin' those colors and shading techniques, turning a plain ol’ drawing into something to be proud of. So grab your colors and let’s make some drawing magic together!

Draw the Eye Bumps
First, draw the snake’s eye bumps as shown.
Add the Snout
Add the snake’s snout by drawing a curved line.
Draw the Nostril
Draw the snake’s nostril by making a small dot on its snout.
Form the Tongue
Draw the snake’s long forked tongue.
Outline the Eye
Outline the snake’s eye by drawing a pointed oval.
Add the Pupil
Add its slit pupil by drawing a thin oval.
Draw the Head
Draw the snake’s head by creating two curved lines.
Form the Body
Form the outline of the snake’s elongated body connected to its head.
Draw the Coiled Body
Draw the coiled part of its body by drawing a curved line.
Attach the Tail
Attach the snake’s long, pointy tail.
Add the Scaly Texture
Add the scaly texture of the snake’s body by creating short, bumpy lines.
Color the Eye
Color the iris of its eye with yellow. Next, fill in its pupil with black. Then, add a white circular shine to it.
Fill in the Tongue
Fill in the tongue with red.
Color the Body
Color the snake’s head, body and tail with orange.
Add Shading to the Underbelly
Use a cream color to add some shading to its neck and underbelly. I choose to use a lighter orange color but feel free color in your drawing how you want to.
