Outline the Back and Underbelly
Draw two curving lines to form the kangaroo’s back and underbelly. Add short pointy lines to emphasize its fur.
Form the Legs

Draw Grass
Kangaroos are found in plains with tall grass. Let’s add grass around the kangaroo by making pointy lines.
Color the Eye, Nose and Ear
Fill in the eye with black and add a small white spot in the center of the kangaroo's eye. Next, color the nose brown. Then, use pink to shade its inner ear.
Shade the Fur
Use light brown for its snout, underbelly and the underside of its paws. Then, color the rest of its body with a darker shade of brown.
Fill in the Grass
Fill in the grass with green. Use a darker green color to add some shadows beneath the kangaroo.
Color the Sky
Color the sky with light blue.
