Today, we're gonna create an easy fish drawing. We'll break it down into 15 simple steps. Starting with basic shapes and lines, then add details like fins and scales. No need to stress, just have fun with it. By the end, you'll have your own little fish swimming on paper. Grab your pencils and let's get started!
Form the Body
Start by making an outline of the fish’s oval-shaped body.
Draw the Face
Draw its rounded eye. Then, form the shape of its mouth.
Outline the Head
Outline the shape of its head by drawing a curved line.
Add the Gills
Draw two short lines to add the gills.
Attach the Pectoral Fin
Attach the pectoral fin at the side of its body.
Draw the Dorsal Fin
Draw the fish’s long dorsal fin along its back.
Add the Pelvic Fin
Add its pelvic fin attached to the bottom of its body.
Form the Anal Fin
Form the fish’s anal fin next to the pelvic fin.
Add the Caudal Fin
Add the wavy shape of its caudal fin at the end of its body.
Outline the Scales
Outline the scales by drawing bumpy lines along its body.
Draw Bubbles
Draw small, rounded bubbles around the fish.
Color the Eye
Color the eye with black and white.
Fill in the Fins
Fill in the fins with a bright yellow color.
Add Shading to the Fish’s Body
Use a cream color to shade the fish’s underbelly. Next, color the rest of its body with vibrant orange. Then, using a slightly darker shade of orange, add some shadow along the edges of its scales.
Shade the Bubbles
Shade the bubbles with blue.
