Outline the Head
First, outline the bat’s fuzzy, rounded head.
Attach the Ears
Draw the bat’s tall, pointed ears attached to the top of its head.
Add the Eyes
Add two circles for the bat’s eyes.
Draw the Nose
Draw the bat’s rounded nose.
Form the Mouth
Form the curved shape of its mouth. Then, add its tiny fangs.
Outline the Body
Draw a bumpy oval to outline its furry body.
Attach the Arms
Attach its thin arms to the sides of its body.
Draw the Fingers
Draw its thin, long fingers and short thumb spread out similar to the illustration.
Add the Legs
Add the bat’s thin legs and tiny feet attached to the base of its body.
Attach the Tail
Attach its pointed tail to the back of its body.
Outline the Wings
Outline the bat’s wings by drawing a bumpy line touching the tips of its fingers.
Fill in the Eyes, Nose and Fangs
Fill in the eyes with black, and add a small white center to each eye. Next, color the nose with bright pink. Then, use white to fill in the fangs.
Shade the Head and Wings
Use a dark shade of gray to color the bat’s head, outer ears, and wings.
Color the Ears, Arms, Legs, and Tail
Color the inner ears, arms, fingers, legs and tail with a muted shade of purple.
Add Shading to the Body
Use light gray to color the body of the bat.
